Welcome to the Monday live stream. We're going through the Gospel of Mark, verse by verse,

and in this passage, we're going to discover that sometimes skeptics are too skeptical

for their own good. And I say this is someone who, I feel like I'm naturally inclined to

be skeptical. You might seem usually defending the Christian faith, right? But that's because

I've had a definitive against my own questions before I could stand and then share it with others.

But in this passage we're in today, this is where Jesus goes before Pilate and there

are a number of points where some skeptics, many skeptics online, especially online, the

online world is kind of its own thing, right? They will say that this stuff just didn't

happen. It's not historical at all. And let me give you a few examples real quick. Here's

preview. They say Pilate would never have yielded to Jewish leadership, trying to manipulate

him in order to crucify Jesus. They would say that Barabbas is a made up person who has

a fake name. We'll talk about that in detail, giving you some research, some actual historical

studies on that. And they say that Pilate never had a custom to release a prisoner at Passover,

that this is unknown outside the Gospels. And I'll talk about all those claims and we'll

show that I think that the biblical account of the crucifixion of Jesus is very historically

accurate. Even if you don't start from a place of believing the inspiration of Scripture,

I do, but it's great when you can confirm those things. That inspiration is confirmed with

historical evidence to support the claims about Jesus that we find in the Scripture. We're

also going to see two other things. One, this is one of the most used passages for like hatred

towards Jewish people nowadays. And historically has been that you know, you could look through

church history and see it throughout time. I'll give you more details on this later on. But let's

just say this is like a key passage where the Jews are like arguing with Pilate saying, hey,
