Summary

Join Children of the Watch as we continue our Skeleton Crew premiere coverage with Episode 2: Way, Way Out Past the Barrier. We go scene-by-scene breaking down the story, characters, and settings while making connections to the rest of the Star Wars universe.

Why is At-Attin considered a myth by the rest of the galaxy? Is Jude Law's character really a Jedi, or something else entirely? Will the Skeleton Crew make it back home? We'll discuss all of this and more while explaining some of the more obscure references and easter eggs found in the episode.

For as much as episode one was like a foundational episode, you get to know the characters, you get to know the stakes, the setting, all that.

I love episode one, but episode two is like what really got me excited

0:25.5

and kind of, okay, this is what the show could be. And I loved episode two. What about you?

0:33.2

Absolutely. I mean, the places it took us, I think they were really trying to show off what the show has to offer kind of here. It did, like you were saying, we did all of the exposition laying the groundwork in the last episode. And that was super enjoyable. I loved getting to know the characters, getting to know their home. But now this was like the first actual installment of their journey, of their adventure.

1:28.1

towards the end of the episode when we get to that scene

1:31.4

is what's going on with the Jod?

1:33.8

Who is he?

1:34.9

Is he an actual force user?

1:37.5

Does that make him a former Jedi?

1:39.3

Or is he someone who's like, he's a pirate

1:42.8

who's trained himself to use the like the force and stuff like that

1:46.7

there i think we can have a really really fun discussion for sure as the tell end of this

1:51.4

breakdown when we get to that scene about that because those are a lot of the interesting questions

1:57.3

that i'm still thinking about and i can't wait to get an answer on for

2:01.3
