Summary
Twelve-year-old Jay enters a local skateboarding competition using a mysterious, hand-me-down rosewood board that seems to possess a strange, humming energy.
When his talented but smug rival’s expensive gear fails during the finals, Jay is faced with a difficult choice between an easy victory and true sportsmanship.
In a climactic final run, Jay discovers that the secret to winning lies not just in the "magic" of his vintage deck, but in the character of the rider who steers it.
