So come with me now to this place called Skagway. We're back in the day. It was a gold rush boom town.

Yeah, we're talking Jack London called the wild country.

We are the furthest point north along the coast, and we are basically in the armpit of southeast Alaska.

Cory Giacomazi, she's lived in Skagway for going on two decades. In fact, she's something of an expert on the place.

But she told Spook producer Eliza Smith that when she first arrived, she didn't plan on staying.
