Summary

Do what all the cool kids are doing! Get a torn meniscus!

The Sixers are playing out the string in the most tanky way they can, sitting Robert Covington for the remainder of the year with a torn meniscus. Is it really torn? Are they just trying to lose? Who knows anymore!

We discuss Covington, the team playing out the remainder of the season, Okafor sitting the rest of the year, the rumor that the Kings want to talk to Sam Hinkie, the idea of Hinkie the free-agent, the final days of tanking, and Mike's new show.

going to get engaged 707 while not in Philly at always at llpavorski.com. I am Spike Eskin along

1:26.3

with a guy who sort of looks like a super nerdy Jake Paworski in person. Come on. Can I start

1:38.5

with that or no? No one will ever know what we're talking about. That is Mike Levin of LibertyBallers.com. Good morning Mike. Good morning.

1:48.5

Wow. That's Jake. Listen to his podcast. I don't think he does. No, I don't think so. You can tell. I can... I see Jake sort of a lot

1:56.5

because he works at WIP a few days a week with Angelo. Angelo depends on Jake in a very meaningful way.

2:04.5

And you sort of know who listens. I don't begrudge anyone who doesn't listen. He never seems to know if we've discussed something in my limited. I don't talk to him a lot but I see him a lot. I don't think he listens. That's okay. For a while I didn't listen to any. I would say for the first two years of this podcast maybe. I didn't listen to any podcast at all except for Simmons maybe.

2:33.5

I think that was the only podcast I listened to. So yeah. Speak of which. You start listening to Estelle. Yeah, I was about to bring that up. I am on episode five right now and I don't want to give anything away. I know. I'm not going to say anything. I'm on episode four. It is. It is. Amazing. Unbelievable. Yeah. There was a... I wanted to give the guy credit who wrote something. The line he wrote in the last episode and this won't give anything away. The line he wrote in the last episode was. It was something to the effect of like

3:03.5

it was like he held the negatives to so-and-so's like the long-lost negatives to so-and-so's pictures when he was telling a story because some story was the complete opposite of the other. It's just so well written and compelling and I was like crying at the end of. Anyway. Estelle, everyone knows it. It's not like we're clueling anyone. Yeah, yeah. It's good though. Very good. And I promise we'll get into the podcast but I want to say something about podcasts because you're not going to be able to do it.

3:33.5

You brought that up is, you know, there is... There are so many podcasts that are like hours in that. Here's a couple people talking for a topic about 45 minutes or an hour. And then there are so many... I don't know if you ever listen to reply all or... And then there's, you know, the serial ones and there's just... It's so amazing to see where the medium has come and the different sorts of things that are in there. And it makes me feel like our podcast is so bad when I'm not going to be able to do it.

4:03.5

I listen to Estelle because it is so... I guess it's just amazing how different they are. The same thing, they're both podcasts but they're so different. And a few years ago, I don't know that that was true, you know. It's almost like there are like any other entertainment medium like TV or movies and that, you know, it's so different. Estelle is wonderful. Anyway. The Rice Syriky Sanchez podcast is available on iTunes and Stitcher and Google Play SoundCloud and tune in.

On our March to 1,000 five star ratings on iTunes, we now have 453. The most recent review I liked a lot. The subject line says, by the way, he gave us five stars. I've never listened to this podcast.

4:48.5

So far so good. Yep. Vandere Yellow is the name of the person that left the review. From what I've gathered, the podcast consists of this guy Mike and what I can only assume is his dog spike a few years ago, I saw this. Yeah.

5:02.5

A few years ago, I saw this interspecies TED Talk thing with Peter Gabriel where they wanted to get animals involved with the internet. I didn't doubt that someday we'd get there, but I didn't expect dogs to be podcasting so soon, not really sure how the Sixers come into play here. So that, and that's the end of his review. So we love your, yeah, we love your five star reviews on iTunes and leave the bad reviews out.
