So Ricky said to the podcast, I am spike asking along with a guy who is very judgemental based on when you started listening to the right streaky cinches.

I am. That is Mike Levin. I might. It's more than one of the rare true things that you said. Yeah, very, very true. Normally my opening thing is alive. But this time it was not a lie.

I want to bring up something very, very petty, I think. And a little change of pace. Change of patience kick us up. Yeah. All right. So I realize something.

And I think I may have brought this up before, but it might have been years ago. I realized something when I after I gave my very, very honest take about Ben Simmons.

And I didn't even think it was that hot about Ben Simmons on the last podcast, sort of insinuating that while I don't dislike him and I'm excited that he's good, I have trouble like really feeling invested in his success as of yet.

And we went through some reasons why that might be possible. And I have since been attacked for like ruining the positive fan base amongst the culture.

Perhaps driving Ben Simmons away.

Saying that it is some personal thing because he tweeted me when he was at the airport.

And so here is here is what I've come to assess. And it's a very strange change in Philadelphia fan culture. But I've noticed it a little bit with Carson Wentz too.

Is that a city who was at one point criticized for being too hard on their stars, you know, has it's become this thing where it's almost like when a player is good fans act as if they are in a relationship with a girl that they think is out of their league.

And it's scared that any time anything bad happens, it means it is going to be the end of everything. So like so so they operate in such a way that is so oddly protective and and really it sort of reminds me of the political thing when people talk about being and we are certainly in our own.

And what's the word I'm talking it's not bubble echo chamber in which anyone who says anything that isn't glowing is going to ruin everything and I like I've got news for you Ben Simmons is not going to lead because I say I don't have an emotional attachment to him.

And I don't think it does anything negative for the Sixers fan culture or anything like that. I don't think LeBron's not going to come because you are I say that like it's not our first choice. I just don't understand it.

I it's a really strange shift and I don't I'm always going to say exactly how I feel about everything and the worry like what I was going to do was just open up with some maya culpa like sarcastic maya culpa and talk about how much I love Ben Simmons and how connected I am to him and I I missed it completely and I've done some soul searching.
