headed to the primary polls yesterday.

The marquee event was California's race to replace term-limited Governor Newsom.

While Republicans largely consolidated around Trump-backed Steve Hilton, Democratic voters sifted

through six candidates with billionaire environmentalist Tom Steyer and former HHS Secretary

Javier Bacera leading the polls.

Votes are still being counted in the Golden State, where the top two vote getters advanced

to November regardless of party.

Dems in Iowa eyed an open Senate seat with state representative Josh Turrick and state
