Summary

In today’s episode, host D is joined by travel nurses Lauren Rusch and Corissa Quednow (they also happen to be future sister in laws!) who are currently working in Intensive Care Units in New York City. As governments warn their populations to stay inside to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and not overwhelm the healthcare system, Lauren and Corissa talk about what it’s been like to be at the frontlines and epicenter of the pandemic. They share with D how conditions have changed in their hospital since their arrival, how they are adjusting to a new “normal” and most importantly, where they’ve been finding places of positivity in all of this. Lauren and Corissa also discuss what led them to start their YouTube channel, COVID-19 Nursing.
