Although it's plenty warm where I am in the world right now, probably too warm, but we are into August, of course, getting well into August, as a matter of fact. And I was a bit controversial, perhaps, by telling everyone in the Sister Wives Professor Study Hall a while back around like August 2nd. Welcome to the beginning of spooky season, because spooky season to me begins in August. I don't

decorate or anything until September 1st, but I'm just waiting the whole year round for the holiday

season, so I get going pretty early. But even if you're still in the thrall of summer, I hope that

you're enjoying it, hope you're having a great time. I am in the midst of TA training before the fall semester starts,

which is fun. It's really exciting to get to train the graduate students, the teaching assistants,

in particular for my department, although it is a lot of work. So I am definitely not even burning the

candle at both ends so much as I'm taking both ends of the candle and smacking them with a hammer right now.

Not complaining, though. The weight is a gift and I'm happy to be doing it and I'm especially happy to be doing this, which is one of my very favorite things to do in the whole wide world, which is talking to you, hello, about sister wives and that's what we're going to do today. season four, episode eight, titled No Place Like Home. Well, Dorothy, we are not in Kansas anymore,

are we? Now the teens are packing up. Leon is on the couch with Hunter, Madison, and Logan, revealing that they're all going to Lehigh for a spring break, which, you know, there are definitely worse things you could be doing with your spring break. Take that Myrtle Beach. What is it? Were you a spring breaker? Did you do spring break things? Like most of my spring breaks in high school, I think I was in my bedroom, which was

the attic of our house, and I was probably taping reruns of the Ben Stiller show off of FX at the time to watch with the one friend I had. What's up, Robert? I'm going to send him a text and then I'd be like, I mentioned you on the podcast and be like, that's great. I'll say, you're going to listen. He'll go, no. So fair enough. I guess it was fun.

It compares probably to the joys of going to see their grandma in Lehigh, which is a great thing to do.

What am I talking about? Let's get back to the episode. Logan says a whole week in Utah is going to be pretty epic.

And he means it. He sounds very sincere, which I do find incredibly charming.

Definitely from an 18-year-old, A.U.B. Mormon kids' perspective, a week in Utah, seeing his friends and family, that that is epic. It's a very sweet thing to say, you know, that's, it's all relative, right?

I think getting away from your parents and stuff and spending some time with your friends

from back home and we'll talk all about, you know, the difficult relationship they seem to have

with going back to Lehigh, which is really kind of the thrust, the narrative thrust of this episode.

But I can see it being epic and being exciting. And so I genuinely, I know I poke fun and

everything, but I found this really sincere and really charming from Logan.
