Hello and everyone. Hello, and as always, welcome to the Sister Wives Professor. That is me. I'm Dr. Adam,

real-life professor of communication, interpersonal, and family communication. If you're curious, and yeah, I'm a longtime-time follower of the TLC series Sister Wives. I'm also kind of a longtime podcaster at this point. It just occurred to me the other day that later this month is going to be the two-year anniversary of this podcast launching. So I guess I'll bring that up when we get closer to it or when we get to the day. But that's kind of neat. It doesn't feel like two years, and yet it also feels like a lot longer. It's one of those things. I'm sure you've had that experience with all kinds of stuff. Yeah, thanks for being with me. Thanks for being with me if you've been here from day one, or if this is day one of you trying out the podcast. I appreciate you no matter what. you are definitely the most important part of this whole process.

Lots to talk about today. As usual, I want to remind you that I've got all kinds of good stuff

coming out on Patreon. I've got the faculty book club with my wife, Dr. Amanda, which is coming out

later this week. It's actually going to come out on Friday. We are

covering Love Times 3, the Darger family book that they wrote, Joe Darger and his wives. It's

definitely interesting. My wife, who is also a communication professor, we had quite a bit to say

about it, and it's definitely of its time post-Christine's book. It's a very different read than it would

have been for me even a couple months ago. But keep an eye out for that. That's, of course,

for everybody who subscribes to the faculty lounge through Apple as well. That'll be out in just a few

I'm Dr. Adam Field Newscaster, current professor and podcaster, and do I ever have some

things to talk to you about today? Oh my, let's get right to it. This is without question what I was

always hoping to get from this show when I was starting to feel like maybe we would never get it, which is like a Cody Brown focused episode. And if you're not watching special forces, that might be a little misleading. Usually the episodes tend to focus on two of the competitors and they're kind of focused and

they sort of drive the show. It's well done. It's well edited. It's not super noticeable. But if you

watch a lot of this stuff, I'm sure you'd pick up on it right away like I did. And this is a Cody one.

It's not just focused on Cody, but it is definitely like the Cody episode we're going to get.

And I think there's only two more episodes of this season left, as a matter of fact. But let's get into it. The episode opens. Of course, they're still in Morocco. Day seven. Everybody's sleeping. Cody's got his mouth tape on. And they get woken up by someone else coughing. Specifically, Olympic soccer champ, Christy Pierce-Rampone, poor lady, she sounds really sick.
