It has been a hell of a political week.

Every day on the calendar, a day which seem to contain weeks within them.

Remember when Rishi Sunat was supposed to bring

back order? The reshuffle, the Cameron Restoration, the Rwanda plan going down in flames at the Supreme Court,

yet more flames engulfing the people of Gaza, a fissure from which, which now divides the Labour Party.

If you're wondering why you can hear the gentle hum of a car engine,

it's not because I've taken to the hills,

trying to get a moment just to process it all,

but because I'm on our way through the Aberdeenshire countryside

to meet one of the players who matter most

and pretty much all of those stories right now.

He's been on a tour of Eastern Scotland and on

Friday was focusing on energy visiting one of the biggest gas terminals in the country, Shells, St. Fergus.

Perhaps given a summer when the party seemed riven by divisions over the UK's transition to net

zero, he might be here to build some bridges. We came to talk to him about that net zero vision, those targets which are ambitious, maybe unrealistically ambitious,

and of course about the cascade of political news which has ricochet down the week.

So on energy, Israel, Rwanda and the changing face of not only his own party, but his opponents, the man who would be Prime Minister.
