Hello and thank you for downloading the Scotland Outdoors podcast.

I'm Mark Stephen and he's you and Michaelress.

Yeah, interesting look at a guy that we've both been involved with many times over the years,

but a couple of years back we did a half hour special with us.

He's made a big impact on wildlife and nature in Scotland.

And this week he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement by the RSPB,

so we thought we'd give you a chance to have another listen at this programme.

It's a cold winter's morning.

There's snow in the ground, mole hills all over the place.

The only way the signs of spring of the fact that snow drops and daffies are beginning to come up.

They're not in bloom yet, unfortunately, the daffies.

And we're here to meet a man who's basically a toff who turned his back on toffdom.

Somebody who was born into the hunting, shooting, fishing fraternity,

but developed a lifelong passion for living things.

Yeah, it came up north.

He bought a Victorian castle or caselet.

We're just walking up the drive at the moment.
