This is not opening arguments, but in between the last episode

of opening arguments and the next episode or the next chance

that we have to record, there was a very fascinating bit of legal news in the same day as a girl was found guilty of manslaughter for texting her boyfriend and essentially trying to get him to commit suicide and successfully.

So in the same day she was found guilty of manslaughter, a police officer was found not guilty

for shooting Philando Castile and killing him.

So a lot of people that left a lot of people scratching their heads and who better to take us

through what's going on legally than Andrew Torres.

I do just want to make a little content note here that we do talk about the case of a

suicide and it might be something that it's certainly something I'm really

sensitive to it's actually not that easy for me to hear the details of this case because

it's pretty horrifying to me both of them are so just wanted to give you that little heads up ahead of time.

But the bulk of the episode is definitely legal analysis, so I don't want you to think that we're

now doing a crime show where we go into gory details of crime behavior because that's what the rest of the iTunes charts are for not my podcast.

So just wanted to give you that heads up, but I think this is definitely worth listening to because this is confusing.

People are outraged.
