Over here. So I wanted to talk about Tucker Carlson today. I like I'm sure all of you saw that Tucker Carlson was ousted and very unceremoniously as they say very quickly his Friday episode didn't even know he didn't even know on Friday said they'll see him Monday. In fact, there are still promos running as late as I think Monday for his show that evening. So very rapid decision very interesting. And I just really did not a few. I didn't you know I had some mixed feelings

about it, but then I started reading about it. I think there's some interesting things to talk about with regard to this have some thoughts and you know like I mentioned the other day I've been wanting to get back to doing a little commentary share my thoughts on some things. All right. So let's start with some facts that you probably know, but just think just to get everybody on the same page. Tucker Carlson is a Nazi who I just was reading for the Wikipedia Tucker Carlson is a Nazi who host a show about Nazism and white supremacy like it's barely

exaggerating. I really it's troubling to see just how blatantly racist and xenophobic and many things Tucker Carlson is. And it's even more distressing when you find out that he's the most watch cable news show. I've said before I don't watch cable news of either side of any side. I'm sure there's some good cable news out there. I know there's some good reporting. I know there's plenty of smart commenter. The thing is it's just mingled in with so much so much repetitive.

Vapid nothing content just just vamping forever. It's just not my thing. I don't obviously don't begrudge anyone who likes cable news. And I'm sure I think it keeps others a little bit more politically informed on certain things that I am because I just I might miss things that the cable news folks go nuts about and but I'll alternatively you know I also read a lot and I probably catch things that you don't see on cable news. I hope where I better get a refund for all my goddamn subscriptions to stuff.

But anyway not only do I not watch cable news. I also am just not I've never been the kind of person who can do the the hate watching as much as you know it's fun to poke fun and dunk and all that and once again this is just my preference. I salute those who dunk for for me and sometimes here's some delightful dunking on these these assholes. I just get so it just I get so depressed. It just makes me so upset to see.

What is being just spewed at 8 p.m. every night to our parents parents and grandparents maybe that I know I have also all ages who listen to the show so maybe people your age but also like for my generation. A lot of us feel like we lost our parents to Fox News and I know there's a lot of you I've mentioned this before I know there's a lot of you who connect with me on that.

Then again listen to dear old dads because also I didn't really lose my family to Fox News it just didn't help it just didn't help you know it in the end it really wasn't the Fox News I don't want to give my dad that out that Fox News was the was the problem it was as mainly the other stuff but it didn't help I'll say it did not help that his brain was turned to mush by a person telling you to be scared of literally fucking everything every night it's just truly disturbing and you know I get

grew up in a Fox News household as I've mentioned and that was Bill O'Reilly and Bill O'Reilly obviously sucks but it is pretty remarkable to note how things can always get worse it's just it's incredible I mean say what you want about Bill O'Reilly and we we can okay fucking sucks but he had a certain amount of like decorum and charm

Relative to what came next you know these things you don't see until you see the next horrible fucking like Trump makes you realize like not to say the George was good you know never saying that W was good but you can recognize certain elements of the previous iteration of right wing pieces of shit you can recognize which ways they hadn't gone bad yet I guess I'll say like which components of their personality I'll say not for nothing you do miss some of those I at least

I do like I do miss respect for norms in many ways even if ultimately it's still shit like it's still a shit sandwich I'm not saying it's not Bill O'Reilly suck George W Bush perhaps caused more harm than Trump did I mean it's really it's really crazy to think about so again there's no endorsement of those folks but it's just

interesting to notice how things can get way worse because Tucker Carlson it's so he's so horrible in such a weird black mirror ask way that I truly struggle to

entertain the notion that it's real like I really I do like I I could never be one of those people who's like I'm gonna watch Foxy well I shouldn't say never I mean this is why I've often wanted to do that I've

wanted to branch out into like oh maybe I can see what the right is saying and critique it in some way that might be helpful

and then I go watch 10 minutes of Tucker Carlson I'm like that's not real that didn't happen let's all agree that that didn't happen and that's not

I really struggle I mean it's just a personality quirk like I have a hard time with just kind of things I view as irrational and

logical I have a hard time just even engaging with them at all and with Tucker Carlson it's him just saying the most

insane racist fear mongering shit with this tone that is again it's otherworldly it's it's like his face should be on a big

screen like throughout the city you know like the like one of dystopian things where they like everything's a TV with the one

guy telling you what to think like it really is that but it's even more unpleasant because the tone is like he's a

elementary school teacher telling you that like no we're not having pizza for lunch we're having hot dogs or something like it's like

seriously it's like that tone is like oh actually we're not having pizza for lunch we're having hot
