Love you, Church Home. I'm really excited to share the story of Jesus with you. I'm going to go to Matthew's Gospel,

Matthew Chapter 14, and we're going to pick up a story that many of you may be familiar, many of you may not be,

and that is where not only Jesus walks on water but this guy Peter

walks on water he's the oldest of the 12 disciples that follow Jesus around for

some three and a half years and he has this incredible ecstatic moment

with Jesus. Now by the time we pick up the story Jesus has already started

walking on the water, the disciples are in a storm. They're obviously on a body of

water in a boat in a storm. They see what they think is a ghost walking towards them. They

recognize his voice. It's Jesus. and that's where we pick up the story

Matthew chapter 14 and verse 28 and Peter answered Jesus saying Lord if it's you on the water

Command me to come to you on the water and Jesus said come out on the water so Peter got out of the boat I love how the Bible just says it so plainly so simply and he walked

on the water and he came to Jesus.

Well there you go.

But when he saw the wind or most translations even more accurately,

he say because you can't see the wind,

you can see the effects of it,

when he saw the waves, the waves were big,

the white caps on the body of water,

he was afraid.

Beginning to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me!

Immediately, the Bible says, Jesus reached out his hand,

took hold of him, saying to him,
