By the time you read this, the seasons will have all changed.

Fall colors are surrounding my area of the world.

Living in direct view of Letchworth State Park,

aka the Grand Canyon of the East.

On to the Visions.

The first one that I recall, I highly suspect I had more and I blocked them.

The year was 1976, July 17th, 6 p.m.

I was upstairs reading a book when I put the book down and went

downstairs to check on supper. My mom was mowing the lawn and dad was in the hammock. He had an

accident that week and lost the tip of his finger at work. My three brothers were at the family

farm for milking chores. As I was getting ready to go back upstairs, I smelled something.

Smoke? At 15, I was hoping no one would see me. I smelled all the outlets. Okay, nothing, and went to the

staircase and began about seven steps up. I was able to see through the railing and stopped dead.

My entire bedroom was engulfed with black smoke. I had a huge collection of 45s, 78s, and 33s. Ended up being my record collection

was burning, more like melting. I looked at my feet and told them to move. This was a damn scary thing when you were frozen in fright.

Finally, they moved.
