Y'all Donna was doing like a little like yeah like with her hand.

Well she did it and she wanted some pepping her step with that.

Well, it's because I choked on air when we were trying to do it before, so I was trying to make myself

feel better. Okay, the first one. Hi Donna and Carrie, I'm new to your podcast, but I love it.

Not only the content, but you.

You remind me of my friends and that makes it feel like home.

Plus, there's just something about the sound of your

laughter. When you guys start in I have found myself laughing along helplessly

even when I don't even know why I'm laughing because the sound of yours is so

infectious and wonderful. I wanted to send in a story about something that happened to my husband, Kay. Years ago, he went up to Washington, D.C. to help out a brother who's having a pretty severe mental health crisis. He was able to find an

inpatient program nearby that was supposed to be very good and convinced his

brother to check himself in for some much needed help. Unfortunately his brother didn't stay very long but that's a whole

another shit show. Anyway, Kaye stayed up there for a while to make sure everything was okay and then his brother got

settled in and during that time he stayed in his brother's house.

His brother was a very well-known architect in the area who had a design building company

and had designed and overseeing the renovations of the house himself.

It was quite grand, truly more like some great suburban castle

than a home.

We both did stay there a number of times

and as beautiful as it was it had a strange kind of cold feeling to it.
