Let's jump into this. If you have a Bible, I want you to turn to Matthew chapter 19.

This is a text we're going to talk about tonight.

This text contains within it a shift and a revolution in the realm of singleness,

unlike any teaching ever given in history. That's a bit of a meta claim.

Let's have a look at this. This is Jesus actually talking about the nature of divorce,

but then he takes divorce and inserts a teaching about singleness on it.

That the heroes of his time just would have struggled to comprehend. Let's have a look at God's word.

Jesus replies, Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard,

but it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife,

except for sexual immorality and marries another woman commits adultery,

the disciple said to him, if this is a situation between a husband and a wife,

it's better not to marry. And then Jesus doesn't say, no, no, no, no, no, sorry,

I must have explained that wrong. Jesus says, not everyone can accept this word,

but only to those who it has been given. For there are unix who were born that way,

Jesus has a whole teaching on here, and he actually makes to claim that if you can live like a
