Welcome to the Voo Church Podcast. Security is always an inside job. The security we crave isn't found in a person, a job, an accolade or even a relationship. It starts with us. Before we're secure partners we must be secure individuals.

But how do we recognize our value? How do we receive all that God has for us?

0:22.0

Today Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. breaks down these questions and more as we jump into week two of our single and secure collection with this message, Know Your Worth.

If you got a Bible quickly turn to Numbers chapter 27 where I want you to turn. This collection of course we are going to be dealing with relationships, but before we get to relationships we're talking about individuals, we're talking about you.

And I read a funny quote this week, one of my friends said it to me, I think it'll make you laugh. It's by Albert Einstein, pretty smart guy. This is what Albert Einstein said. I think at the heart of the quote, it's really what we're talking about here is that so much other time we put so much stock in other people, but the heart of this collection is to get back to you, get back to you, the work that you need to do on you, building confidence and security.

I want to direct your attention to a portion of scripture that I've never ever preached before, not in the book by the way, but I think it's going to be helpful today.

And last week I preached a message entitled, don't believe the lie. What is the lie? The lie is that I need another person to build eternal security. Now, Jesus does that.

And today I just want to continue to build on this. We're going to be here for a few weeks. We're going to, of course, get to things like dating and marriage and sex and heartbreak.

2:15.0

That's all going to come. But before we get there, we got to start with you. And I said it this way because I know there's some people in the room that you don't even want to get married, you're single and totally content.

2:24.0

And the collection is not to get people married. In fact, the whole book is challenging the church with telling people just to simply get married.

2:31.0

Because how many I'll know if you've got problems getting married just means you put a ring on your promise.

2:36.0

However, there are a lot of people in our church and our community that like, yeah, I want a godly marriage. But I would just say it this way, that if you want to end married and happy, you have to start single and secure.

2:47.0

If you want to end married and happy, you have to start. If you want to end married and happy, you have to start single and secure.
