Aaron and I just got off of our conversation with April Brover.

And so now we're sitting, we talked a lot about hymns because April has a website

called Happy Hemnity, where she helps walk families through how to incorporate like a

hymn of the month, like how to get the

habit of learning a hymn and making it kind of part of your family culture. Whether you have

kids or don't have kids, whether you're in your college dorm, you can also do this. So anyway,

Aaron and I are just hopping on to talk about that conversation.

So what did you think, Aaron?

Well, I hope it's, I wanted to have April on because I wanted to encourage our listeners in the habit and tradition and in the catechizing of ourselves in hymns.

Because hymns have had such an impact on me and my own faith.

And I knew a few hymns growing up from going to church,

but I didn't go to churches that sang a lot of hymns.

And the church I got saved in did not sing hymns and so learning hymns

intentionally has been something that I've done more recent so maybe the past 10 years or so

definitely when I started homeschooling my kids a few years into that, I was influenced by Cindy

Rollins, who we've had on, and she talked about incorporating a hymn once a month into your

family. And I thought, oh, once a month, well, that gave me like, yes, and it Yes. And it gave me like a framework to follow.

Like, okay, go down this road.
