We all would like to think that we know where we are going and how to get there.

But at every stage in life, we need divine direction. God has promised to guide us if we simply follow.

The fifth and final section of Psalms are referred to as Deuteronomy Psalms because they remind

us to keep returning to the truth of God's Word.

Join us as we study them with Scott Pauli today. Imagine staring the enemy in the face, marching out onto an active battlefield, artillery all around, danger in the air, and you're singing. Someone says,

the enemy. We are always on the battlefield. The spiritual warfare is raging. The devil's arsenal

has been turned on us. And yet yet God's soldiers, they can sing

awake early. I will praise the O Lord among the people, and I will sing praises under the among the nations,

2:11.3

for thy mercy is great above the heavens, and thy truth reacheth under the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens and

2:19.8

thy glory above all the earth that thy beloved may be delivered, save with thy right hand and answer me.

2:27.5

The idea is that the warrior, king, David, the sweet psalmist of Israel, together brings together both of those realities.

2:37.3

The fact that there is a fight on, and yet you can still have a song in your heart.

2:42.1

Taken from another portion of scripture, the joy of the Lord can be your strength.

2:46.2

That's really what he's praying for as he enters into the conflict.
