The way I figure it, we are running out of opportunities to lead the podcast off with the Kansas City Royals, so we'll do that today.

But it will be brief. I won't spend a lot of time here on the Royals. We've got some good stuff coming up as

pertains to Tucker Carlson, which has obviously been a big story this week. He has a new offer

for a position. He has endorsements from people on, even on the left of people supporting

him and his free speech ways. A lot of good stuff coming up on this podcast.

We do start with the Royals where I stayed up a little late on Tuesday night watching

the Royals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in a game that was kind of hard to watch after Brady

Singer went out. Brady Singer pitched six terrific innings for the Royals.

He gave up one run, four hits, five strikeouts. And in two of his five starts, he's

just been outstanding this year. And in three, he's been abnormally awful. What remains with

the Kansas City Royals is when Brady Singer pitches, they win games. He has not been particularly

good this year. He said, again, two good starts, but not as good as many of his starts last year.

And Matt Catwero, for whatever reason, at 92 pitches, didn't see any need to bring Brady Singer back for the seventh inning last night, which nearly killed the Royals.

They had the game in hand and likely could have just gotten through the seventh inning with Singer, handed it over to Chapman

and Barlow, and had a nice, easy, tidy win.

That didn't work.

He brought Clark in, wheels fell off, the Royals had to fight and scratch and claw, whatever,

but they did win the game.

So here's the raw facts, and, you know, I think these things matter.

I think sometimes we look at a lot of statistics in sports that aren't as important.

We dig too deep sometimes and try to find meaning in a lot of things.
