I am your host, Megan Schuster, and we are here to discuss, perhaps even to mildly celebrate the first non-red Bull win of the 2023 F1 season.

Carlos Sines wins the Singapore Grand Prix in thrilling fashion, holding off fellow podium finishers, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton by the skin of teeth. Browning out the rest of the top 10 after a rather unfortunate crash from George Russell on

the last lap is Charles LeClair, Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly, Oscar Piastri, Sergio Perez,

Liam Lawson, and Kevin Magnuson.

There's a lot to get into on the Red Bull front, and we have some interesting Ferrari strategy decisions to discuss

that really kind of seem to have won them this race.

Joining me to get into all of this is Spanners ready.

Spanners, we did it.

We made it to a non-red Bull win.

Can you believe it?

I don't think it's that ridiculous, Meg, to say, like,

we did it because I kind of feel a collective responsibility for F1, which is ridiculous

because I'm no one. I'm on a sofa in Essex in Europe. And I've always seen myself, though,

as a cheerleader for Formula One. So growing up, I didn't have a lot of F1 fans around me and my best mate, Dave, he used to always say to me, why would I watch F1? Like, it's just like beads on a string. You just pull one end down and then the beads go to the other end. That is a perfect Geordie accent in case you're wondering. So I'm always cheerleading. Like, no, there's so much nuance. There's so much to celebrate an F1. And F1's been taking a hammering with the Vastappan dominance. But just under the surface, those of us who have been apologising for F1 and saying, no, look, this happens. You do sometimes get a runaway leader, but look at the stuff that's going on behind.

Today is the proof.

So behind Max Verstappen, Max Verstappen and Red Bull have had a nightmare weekend.

But behind that, we had four drivers from three different teams, all closing each other down, within two seconds of each other, all race, with tactical masterclasses going on, everybody trying

something different, both teams, all three teams, throwing things against the wall to aim
