In 1719, the famous hymn writer Isaac Watts penned one of our world's famous Christmas

songs, Joy to the World.

What is ironic is that it was never intended to be a Christmas hymn, but rather a reflection

on Isaac's study of Psalm chapter 98, a personal contemplation on believing in the joy offered

to us by God.

But now, 400 years later, a skeptic might rightly ask, how can we sing Joy to the World

when the world is so messed up?

Do you ever struggle finding joy in the world?

Well this meditation from Psalm chapter 98 is a contemplation on believing in the joy

of God, placing your trust not in the things of the world, but for the world.

Finding the delight of God, the new way of seeing the world and singing a new song.
