So about 10 years ago, the Harry Potter franchise ended. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hall as part two ended an eight movie franchise that started in 2001, which was if you do the math, 20 years ago.

No, that's what I got to. Yeah, social network. Um, so we thought we would, uh, would talk about the Harry Potter movies as an anniversary, anniversary thing. anniversary.

I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone for the first time in forever, uh, recently. And I had forgotten a lot of things about this movie.

I've read all the books, uh, as well. Uh, but there are certain things like, you know, if you ask me, what's the difference between the book and, and the movie? I couldn't tell you anymore.

Uh, obviously for all of you others out there, this is the philosopher stone. Yeah, the Sorcerer Stone. You others. That's right. You others who are, you know, who are, who are doing it the right way. But, you know, Americans, we need to have something in there that says magic.

Intrigued. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, with English, with, uh, American, people who like Harry Potter books would have gone to watch Philosopher's Stone. But I think they're worried about the people who don't read them.

These, these kids are so tiny. No, they're so little. They're like, they're like, little GI Joe people. They're like an inch tall. Yeah. Yeah. God, I was just wanna squeeze his cheeks. Yeah. I know. He really does look eight years old in this first movie.

And I'm sure he was just like 12 or whatever the fuck. But you go back and look at, you know, the first movie and you realize how much, how much they got right.

In terms of casting, but just the look and feel of Hogwarts, the stuff that would end up carrying on through the whole rest of the series.

You cast one of those three main kids wrong and you're fucked. Yep. You're absolutely fucked. They struck gold. They really did with them and with Tom Felton with Malfoy. Yeah.

Now, the rest of them as we'll get into is every famous British actor ever. Yeah. Is the rest of the cast. But, you know, Maggie Smith is a mechanical was perfect.

A mechanical Robbie Coltrane is as Hagrid was perfect. Richard Harris arguably was perfect as Numbledore, unfortunately, didn't make it through the whole series.
