Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It's called to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

At the end of the 11th chapter of Matthew, Jesus turns to the towns where he did 90% of his teaching

and worked most of his miracles. He turns toward Corizon, Besseda and Capernum and predicts their downfall.

Matthew 11 tells us, then he began to reproach the towns where most of his mighty deeds had been done, because

they would not repent.

Woe to you, Corizon, woe you Bessetah, for if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes, but I tell you it will be more tolerable for

tire and siden on the day of judgment than for you.

And as for you, Kepurnum, will you be exalted to heaven?

You will go down to the nether world.

For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Sodom,

it would have remained until this day. But I tell you, it will be more

tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.

And the fact is, all three of these towns lost their inhabitants and disappeared, and it was not until the 20th century that they found Kepurnum

completely covered over, buried in mud.

The inhabitants of Corizon had to flee because of the unrelenting earthquakes

that destroyed the town and they were never able to resettle and Besseda well it has never been found.

Our Father who art in heaven, hollow would be your name, thy kingdom come,

thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead

us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, Amen.
