Welcome to today's topic is Simplicity, Simplify Your Life, we'll be talking about one

of my favorite people, certainly perhaps my favorite American, Henry David Thoreau.

Those of you who have the power English course, if you did the whole thing, you'll know

that there's a whole lesson about his book, Henry David Thoreau's book is named as Walden,

he's the most famous book, and I did a whole power English course about it and you learn

a lot of great vocabulary, but today we're just going to talk about some of the general

ideas of his book of Thoreau and why they are still very important and still very useful

and still very helpful to you right now.

Thoreau lived in the 19th century, so 1800s before the American Civil War, so I can't

remember, I think he died just before the Civil War started, so he's like in 1840s,

1850s, 1830s, that time period.
