I'm Sadata Sese, an assistant commissioner of podcasts for BBC Sounds.

I pull a lot of levers to support a diverse range of podcasts on all sorts of subjects,

relationships, identity, comedy, even one that mixes poetry, music and inner city life.

So one day I'll be helping host develop their ideas, the next fact-checking, a feature,

and the next looking at how a podcast connects with its audience, and maybe that's you.

Welcome to BBC Radio 4's Evil Genius and I'm Russell Kane, one of the last

remaining men whose hard drive wouldn't send them down for a 10 stretch.

That is of course assuming goat porn is completely legal.

It was when I started in it.

Evil Genius gathers the brave and the bastards, the heroes and the hucksters, and asks,

were they as great or as awful as everyone thinks?

The idea of evil genius is easier than my single nan after two gins in Benadour.

I gather three funny friends in the heart of a BBC sounds slash Radio 4 studio,

let off disturbing fact bombs that confuse and inform them.

And then at the end, they must vote one way or the other.

FYI, given today's subject, I thought I should just say that

that nan joke was not sexist, as my nan is dead. Or gender norms disappear with death. Anyway,

I'll tell you who would know today's subject. Simone de Beauvoir, one of the first thinkers to say, gender is bollocks. Excuse the pun,
