Simone Biles defines what it means to be a champion. She's made her triumphant return to Olympic gymnastics at the

Paris Games with an absolutely incredible performance that had us all on the

edge of our seats and on our feet.

Simone has proven once and for all that she is the greatest of all time,

bringing home three gold medals and one silver for Team USA,

not to mention becoming the most decorated American gymnast in

Olympic history. I sat down with Simone from our set in Paris to reflect on all of it.

I'm Huda Kottby. Welcome to a special episode of my podcast, Making Space. Hi Simone. Can I be totally honest? I'm having a moment looking at you right now because I remembered sitting with you in Rio all those years ago.

You were just a kid.

We did not know how to pronounce your name.

We were trying to get it right.

You were sitting here today, 27 years old,

the most decorated gymnast of all time.

Have you had a moment to reflect on what this means?

Not completely and I don't think I will until one day I decide to retire

but yesterday once we got back to the village I looked at Jordan and I just

started bawling my eyes out and she was like I knew it was going to happen I just

didn't know when and I think it was just so I was so full of emotion and I finally released all of that.

I was so proud, happy, bittersweet that the journey's over.

It's like it's so crazy.

It happened so quick, my third third Olympics two things I want to

ask you after that answer which are both beautiful answers is number one yeah
