Congress is back at it today after the holiday weekend and here are two things that are top of mind this week.

Funding the government and immigration.

Friday is now the deadline to pass a spending bill

and avoid a government shutdown, but Dems and Republicans are trying to figure out if

they can make an immigration deal part of that spending bill. Problem is can they agree. Democrats want a

permanent DACA program. Remember DACA protects hundreds of thousands of

undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as children. The program could soon end if nothing is done.

President Trump and Republicans have said

they need more money for things like border security

and changes to the immigration lottery.

Can the deal get done by Friday or will

another short-term solution be passed for now and push back that main deadline

once again, leaving room for more negotiation. The clock is ticking. Stay tuned.

Gymnist and four-time gold medalist Simone Bials is saying,

Me Too. The yes, she was also sexually abused by the former USA Gymnastics team Dr. Larry Nassar.

In her statement Biles said she asked herself if it was her fault for far too long and

blames both Nassar and the people who allowed it to continue.

ABC News reports USA Gymnastics put out a statement saying they're sorry and angry

and will focus on athlete's safety.
