Ahoy, Shipmates, it's August here. I hope you're all doing well.

East Beyond and I are still here in Bergen, Norway.

We're doing a little bit of maintenance and sort of off-season work.

The weather has been awful this fall, and there's been some really terrible storms here in East Beyond this spider webbed to her dock with 12 lines and chains and 12 fenders.

It's been keeping me up quite a few nights and one early morning I woke up and I saw a message on my phone that said,

Isbion has grounded. And I panicked for three solid seconds until I noticed that the message was from

real sale.net, which is an offshore

racing strategy game,

kind of similar to virtual regatta

if you ever tried it.

And I'd signed up a while ago.

I named by boat East Beyond, of course.

Messed around with it for a little bit,

and then forgot all about it and my little

virtual ESPN left to her own devices had sailed all the way across the Atlantic and struck

North America and the game then sent me an automated note telling me what a bad virtual sailor I am.

So that was all. The real Ispion is safe and sound.

But Ispion is not the only bundle of joy that's been keeping me awake at night lately.

At the peak of one of these storms, my amazing girlfriend

gave birth to a perfect baby boy, and I am now a very proud dad. We're all very happy and healthy

and in love and sleep deprived as things should be.
