who's actually the founder of Defected Records, which is one of the most influential house

music labels and clubbing brands of the 21st century.

I don't know, you've got a lot a lot going on and we got some

ground to cover indeed it's been a been a busy year for us both man well tell you what

Simon let's start off with giving people who may not know you,

bit of your origin story. Go back to the beginning, especially like right around the time when I met you for the very first time,

but maybe a little bit further back than that.

So way way back in the day...

Way way back in the day I was a soul collector I used to collect rare and modern soul.

I used to play records on the modern soul scene and and then that kind of developed into soul rare grooves and jazz and then kind of what happened was 1987, 1988, the house scene came in and shook things up quite considerably.
