And I'm anticipating this podcast might be a little bit shorter than some of the other ones

because we don't have as many clinical quirks and pearls with this specific medication.

So without further ado, the drug of the day is cymethicone.

This is an over-the-counter medication, and I do see it used definitely somewhat common.

In assisted livings and long-term care facilities, I definitely see it periodically used as needed

for patients who are having trouble with excessive gas.

Brand name of this medication,

probably the most common one I see, is gas X,

but there's myelicon.
