Chosen is New York-based artist Danielle Durchslag’s first solo exhibition outside of the USA and its mix of video collage and film explores the political and psychological complexities of American Jewish wealth. Yeah, you’re right, that is one hot potato. But it’s also something Danielle knows very well, given her family background and family money means carrying the complicated baggage – as well as incredible privilege – that being one of what she terms “the Jewish 1%” brings with it. Danielle chats to our Mick about powerful victims, powerful dynasties, the power of humour, Katharine Hepburn, and eating her dinner off Edward VIII’s china.
