Hello there, Hannah here and welcome to this week's Sunday Chops. Before I introduce

our excellent guest, I have two public service announcements to make.

Number one, it is Mother's Day. If you've a mother and you've forgotten, maybe press

pause, go call her and I'll be waiting here when you return. If you are a mother and

your kids have forgotten, well take this as my gift to you.

Number two, the clocks have gone forward. I know technology largely deals with that now,

but it's worth mentioning. It's not like the old days when one Sunday a year I got to

miss church because my mom always forgot. And so by the time we got there, it was over.

Happy days. Talking about my relationship with Faith is actually not a bad starting point

for this week's Chops in which I chat to the actor and playwright, Lily to Czechrabati,

whose stage adaptation of Jan Martell's novel The Life of Pi is currently pulling in

the crowds and snaffling all the Olivier nominations. Mickey Sarah and I went to see

it recently and I can report back that it is excellent. We talked about the highs and lows

of adapting such a well-loved book, its themes of family and faith and some of Lily's other recent

projects, including a working diary, the book she wrote with her husband, the actor Adrian Leicester.
