Hello, Hannah here and welcome to this month's outside the box.

In radically unconventional style I am actually by myself this month month Mickey has not been able to watch much TV for

reasons although now I'm thinking this is quite weird me just talking to myself I

might just project it at Joan. Joan I've got some

telly recommendations for you. The important thing to say though is please keep

listening because you'll give me a massive complex if you stop listening

because it's me on my own and also keep listening because I have some decent recommendations of

some great stuff to watch on television. I do. Sorry I added that like I was

talking to Joan yes I do I do have some good recommendations.

Anyway, I want to start off by talking about the Emmy nominations. I've got kind of a love-hate relationship with the Emmy nominations. I've got kind of a love hate relationship with the Emmy nominations. They can be very, very, very wrong.

A lot of the time they're very wrong. They can also fixate on some British TV shows way beyond when most critics and indeed a lot of the audience has generally agreed that these shows are past their

sell-by day. Great example of this is obviously

down to an Abbey. But I noticed they've also

started to do it with Killing Eve. I saw the first series of Killing

Eve wasn't blown away and all reports suggest that the second

series was in no way as good and yet here it is still popping up when on the other hand David Simon America's Mirror as I like to think

of him has two incredible series that were eligible for

nomination this year, the third and final series of The Deuce, and also his miniseries, The Plot Against America, which I will be talking about later.
