I have long held that our soft infrastructures actually among our most important infrastructures

and that is our intellectual infrastructure, our students, our colleges, our schools,

our social institutions, the things that make American society work.

I think these are all very important and powerful things.

And we need to be funding them in a big way and they've decided to separate them for

the moment and just make this a $2 trillion bill, this Jobs and Infrastructure Plan,

the House released roughly a $2 trillion infrastructure plan.

Basically what it says, what this bill says is that by 2030, every American will have

access to high-speed internet in their home, as many as 2 million housing and home units

and housing units will be constructed, renovated or retrofitted to be safe, secure and energy

efficient.

We'd have electric charging stations across the country.

We would replace every lead pipe in America and yes, there's over 200 communities

just to have lead pipes supplying water to them like Flint, Michigan that we know of.
