I'm your host, Matt Carter, and today we're going to spend some time with Garrett and Thomas from Silent Planet.

Silent Planet has been one of the very successful parts of the Solid State lineup in recent years,

including being one of the only newish bands to be included in last year's Furnace Fest. And they've earned widespread credibility throughout the scene since their 2016 release, The Night God Slept.

And their newest album, Iridescent, is certainly a banger, and we'll spend some time talking about that today.

And it was pretty awesome because they got to catch up with them because the guys are already back in the studio.

So this conversation takes place with them sitting on a break from working on yet a new album.

But today we'll focus on iridescent and what makes this band tick and, you know, I think you'll get a lot out of it.

2014 is when we put out our first album on Solid State.

So that timeline is like there's something of a generational difference, I guess, from,

I don't have it down exactly as third wave or something like that, but maybe I do.

if not even maybe fourth wave. I could see that. I mean, I don't think of it as generational gap because I want to see you guys and stuff,

I think, well, they're the same as me.
