Happy Christmas, everybody. Welcome back to the evolution of horror. I'm Mike Munser, your host,

0:22.6

and I'm bringing you a little bonus episode this week, because this week sees the release of the new

0:27.9

movie Silent Night, Deadly Night. This is the kind of reboot remake of the 1984 slasher classic

written and directed by Mike P. Nelson. It's going to be in cinemas from

0:41.9

the 12th of December. That's this Friday. And so I thought this was a nice opportunity to do

0:49.2

something a little bit festive and revisit the original Silent Night, Deadly Night. It's been about five years since I last

1:46.4

I mean, I think it is, it is because there's like a strange juxtaposition of like how warm and cozy and, you know, people coming together and there's just a good feeling.

1:57.6

Yeah.

1:57.8

And then putting it together with something that's such a bad, a bad thing.

2:02.9

And like how, and I think that, that it strangely doesn't butt heads as much as you'd think.

2:09.2

It actually kind of comes together.

2:10.7

I also feel like there is a strange, Christmas has always been, there's also kind of like a weird mystery.

2:16.7

Even some of the music is a little bit creepy, you know, like Santa Claus is like a very joyous
