Well, my goal today is simple.

I want to get you to pray more.

But here's the thing.

I don't just want you to do it.

I want you to like it.

I want you to love it.

And therein lies the problem, because if we're honest, many of us don't.

And we got data to back it up. Pew Research just released the findings from a survey they did

that indicated that only 44% of Americans pray on a daily basis. So more than half of Americans don't pray every day.

We're increasingly a godless people. We don't talk to him on a regular basis. And why is that?

Well, we could speculate on different reasons why. But I want to point out one that, to be honest,

I don't think we talk about very much,

but I think will resonate deeply with our experience.

And I think the reason we don't linger in his presence is because we can't stand

of the silence.

I remember listening to an interview years ago with Judd Appetal, the director, producer of some of the most influential comedy movies over the last several years.

And he was very honest in this interview.

He said, I can't stand the quiet.

There always has to be a screen on, a TV, music playing, someone talking on my phone, distracted.
