Coming up today, on redoing your mind,

it's been paid in full payment. God cannot twice demand.

He cannot demand payment at the cross, and then when you get to heaven,

demanded of you again, that would be unjust.

So the cross says, sin has been paid for in full.

It can never be reckoned to my account ever again.

The Book of Romans is a complete gospel presentation.

We learn that we've all sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

But while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We read that we're justified by faith, that we're made alive in Christ,

that we are no longer slaves to sin, but slaves to righteousness.

And if we should ever doubt these great truths, along comes Romans chapter 8,

where we find the most glorious description of the believers assurance

through the finished work of Christ.

We come to verses 33 and 34, which read like this,

who shall bring any charge against God's elect?

It is God who justifies who is to condemn

Christ Jesus is the one who died more than that, who was raised,

who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

And four times in these closing verses, Paul asks the question,

beginning with the interrogative, who can lay any charge against God's elect?

And behind this question is Satan.
