Hello, super great kids. How are you? I hope you've got a wag in your tail and a wiggle in your walk. I'm pleased because this week's story is from Greece,

which is a country I love to visit,

and it reminds me of beautiful things like summer holidays

and swimming in the turquoise sea.

Our current theme is animal stories,

and this week's story is about a shape-shifting turtle which comes from the

Greek island of Casos. Greece is where the first Olympic Games took place more than two and a

half thousand years ago and it's the country that gave us the old stories the fables like

the hare and the tortoise and the fox and the crow.

It's in southeastern Europe and it's bordered by three seas and it has thousands of islands sprinkled around its coastline.

Just imagine living surrounded by sparkling blue water with lots of beaches.

Just lovely.

The character in this story begins life as a sea turtle.

Sea turtles are amazing creatures.

They've been around since the time of the dinosaurs.

They can swim up to 35 kilometres an hour when being chased and some live for up to 80 years.
