over the past couple of weeks because we've had another, well actually several incidents that I've heard about in recent days of

moral failings in ministry and someone sent me an email and said when you think about all of these high

profile people and not so high profile people who have fallen in ministry, how do we

protect ourselves from that?

And I think that's a good question.

I wrote a piece on my blog about the way that sometimes people

tend to feel betrayed when they hear of someone who's meant a lot to

them in ministry, who's had a moral failing.

And I argued in that piece that behind that is a kind of low view sometimes of human sin.

We're surprised when people fall because we don't know just how vulnerable we all are.
