January 2023 begins with both Mercury and Mars retrograde, as the Sun travels through Capricorn and connects our consciousness with what we want to create and achieve in this next cycle. We are still re-programming from the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in January 2020 and looking at what areas of our energy needs support and re-structuring. Venus enters Aquarius on January 2 and has an interesting ride through the month where you may be surprised at what you want now in your world. 0:07.0	2003 as we begin a new journey around the Gregorian calendar year. Now it is interesting to note that there are other New Year celebrations coming up,
0:18.4	including on January 22nd, where we will have the Chinese New Year,
0:23.6	which also coincides with the human design new year. And then in March, we start the astrological
0:29.9	new year on the Ares Equinox. So this is one example of how we are always moving through various
0:36.9	cycles and how our energy frequency
0:39.9	connects with each of them in a different way. So as we move into the first month of 2023,
0:46.6	we will do an overview here on the significant astrology of this month and we'll go into some
0:53.2	of the energetic themes as well as the deeper
0:57.3	shifts and changes that are still unfolding on the planet at this time now january always begins
1:04.9	with the sun in capricorn and as many of you know this this is Western Tropical Astrology, which applies to the seasons,
1:14.5	the four seasons of our planet's transitions. And Western tropical astrology also involves the
1:22.7	outer planets, including the asteroids in the asteroid belt, which would be Chiron that is most
1:30.8	commonly referenced. And Western tropical astrology also extends to Uranus, Neptune,
1:36.4	and Pluto, which other astrological systems do not look at. And so this is why I find Western
1:43.3	tropical astrology to be so applicable in our evolution
1:47.5	as it reminds us how we are evolving beyond what we've known before. We are moving beyond what
1:54.8	has been known and into further realms of our own solar system. And this is a beautiful example of our ongoing
2:02.2	awakening, of our ongoing evolution into new energies, new understandings of those energies,
2:08.6	and how they are working with us on our planet here. So every year at this time, the sun is
2:15.0	journeying through Capricorn, bringing our consciousness to the
2:19.7	Capricorn areas of our lives and more personally, the Capricorn areas of your chart.
