My name is Jeff Gluck along with my coworker Jordan Bianchi.

We are motorsports writers for the athletic, and we're here today to talk about the Charlotte Roval Elimination Race.

And the F1 World Championship, well, at least clinched several races early,

the new world champion Max Verstappen. We'll get to that later in the episode. Jordan,

you are at Charlotte Motor Speedway. I am here in Denver, Colorado, before we finish out the

stretch there, where I'm going to the rest of,

or at least traveling to a race for the rest of the four weeks.

So how's it going there in Charlotte?

Why that was not, you know, the typical Jeff Gluck open to the podcast.

That night, we have certain expectations.

We must give our listeners and you did not fulfill the limit with the open why uh i don't know did you enjoy the race today jordan

it's it's a loaded question because it was exactly what i thought it was going to be i mean i thought

the race it was i mean like the beginning of the race, I'm not,

the Roble didn't really produce a lot of excitement early on, a lot of single file racing.

But to me, it was like you were just sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting.

And inevitably, you want it, you're thinking, that caution is going to come with sometime in stage

three, you know, 20, 30 laps left, whatever it's going to be. And then all hell is going to come with sometime in stage three with a you know 20 30 laps left
