Carolina was up 19 points in the second half of this game against VCU.

It looked like Carolina did all the right things in this game, all the things they had to do

to get past VCU until they didn't.

That was a 19-point lead.

VCU started getting warmed up.

They would not go away.

That 19-point lead suddenly became an 11-point lead real quick.

They made eight of their, they made eight of nine shots to get within 11.

And then Jaron Stevenson responded with a three to make it 70 to 56.

And I thought, okay, maybe they're going to stem this thing.

They did not.

And the two worst traits from Carolina this year, man, which was letting the other guards get going on you.

And poor free throw shooting down the stretch, bit him in the ass. VCU went 12 to 15 during a five-minute stretch.

They made it a two-point game with three minutes to go.

And Carolina could just never get over on that.

Obviously, they get to overtime, incredibly ugly overtime, more miss free throws, more big buckets by VCU.

And they're out.

They are done.
