And the I'm So last week I've got somebody asking me if I can chat about my detailed plans for this year's travels and talk

0:36.1

about stops and overnights and what we're going to do and backup plans and all this sort of stuff.

0:40.6

This question to me, that implies the type of planning that Elizabeth and I just do not do.

0:45.6

When we travel, we generally have a destination in mind, you know, if we have any times that we have to be somewhere,

0:52.4

dates that we have to be somewhere, that's fine, we make note of that.

0:55.0

But otherwise, it's very loose.

0:58.0

We'll often decide on going somewhere and part way through we'll get sidetracked on something else maybe spend too much time in one spot and totally get rid of a whole section that we've planned on doing and it doesn't bother us at all

1:08.8

That's just the way we move the way we travel and as for the sites we see, well that's all a bit of a

1:14.8

crap shoot. Where we're going to stay totally, you know, just depends on everything.

1:18.6

Weather, where we are, what we feel like, where we're moving, all that sort of thing.

1:22.4

1:35.0

eyes and cross our teas with all of our sights that we want to see. Now in our minds a schedule would only

1:39.7

add stress to what otherwise turns out to be a great adventure. Anyway, what we're talking about this,

1:45.2

it got me thinking about an episode we did back in 2015 with a guy named Ian Coates. The episode was called Ian Coates, no map, no plan, no worries.

1:56.4

I mean, I think the title really says it. And Ian has a sort of an interesting approach to travel.

2:00.9

Well, actually that might be a complete understatement but his

2:04.2

story gets you asking some questions about the way you see things, the way you travel,

2:09.0

I mean just life questions I think in some ways in a lot of ways. So we decided to write Ian's story again only a slightly different version than before.

2:18.0

But after Ian we're going to talk with Roseanne and Jonathan Hanson from Overland Expo, they're authors, writers, and extremely passionate travel.

2:26.0

They've got a great story.

2:28.0
