Hello and welcome to DCP Side Quest episode number 53.

Once again, some interesting and crazy stuff has been going on.

Very dark weekend in the gaming industry, but honestly it's

been going on for a long time, so it's more of a, it's more of a revelation of things

coming to light that's been happening in the

gaming industry finally that's been needing to happen so yeah let's talk about it

guys crazy because it started with the destiny community.

It started with say no to rage and our community that we are so close to.

And now it has expanded to people being called out on Microsoft,

Twitch, Amazon, Blizzard, it's everywhere.

Every, it's feels like almost every company has had someone who did or does work there who has been called out for sexual harassment, sexual assault, making people feel uncomfortable.

Predatory behavior.

Yeah, predate being predatory and you know I can say that I started making content on

YouTube like nine years ago now and when I've been invited to events it's

fairly common for women to just understand that you know people are gonna be

flirtatious with you who hold positions of power like maybe they're a community manager and they are the one giving you opportunities

that you're just going to have to kind of be like oh yeah this is fine and kind of accept it and I know the

Mav show put out a tweet about this and she said you know every event I've

been to I've had to kind of just grin and bear the comments, the touching, the inappropriate behavior,

and it's something that needs to change. It's this thing of this culture of, hey went to this event saying you know games

com twitch con whatever it might be everyone goes to a bar after everyone's drinking

there's people there who hold incredible positions of power.
