Today's episode is really cool. Not that every episode isn't really cool,

but I just think it's really cool because we really get to talk to somebody who has felt the brunt of

the U.S. government and who is not from the United States and who has felt the brunt from the Democrats.

And I think it's a really important context

because he's also from Africa.

So when we talk about the United States

as an imperial empire,

and we try to bifurcate Democrats out of the complicity of that, we are doing ourselves and injustice.

And we're doing our folks in the motherland and injustice at that.

African Stream was, is a page that started to really come to light for me in the last two years as a great resource for understanding things that are happening

on the continent that was outside of mainstream media. And that has been a real just general

movement for me in terms of getting my news about everything, right? Just going to independent

media sources. So discovering African stream as an independent media source for the motherland was like,
