There's gift I've ever received has to be a bike when I was younger, a pedal bike.

It was a sort of slick little road bike and I remember it was all like it was so it was all wrapped up

We've been doing a lot of, we always do like interview episodes and I'm loving our educator series

and so when we do these solo episodes I've kind of just been like keeping them to the relationship vibe of things

because I want to just be mindful about keeping a balance with you guys of talking about things from a number of different perspectives

and on the life spectrum because that's what this show was all about.

And I had an interview that I did with this site, Style Like You, it's a series.

I had an interview with them go somewhat viral where I was talking about tone and how people interpret my tone

and how you know I want to be, I'm a passionate person and sometimes it gets misinterpreted as hostile

and so that was something that a lot of people, it resonated with them in a lot of ways.

I wanted to bring some other color to that too and not just related to tone but I wanted to do an episode called Side Effects of Choosing Softness

because I think that it's something that a lot of us particularly black women have to like make a choice to do

because it doesn't necessarily come to us naturally because we often don't get to exist in a space of softness

in order to get what we need done.

And so it becomes a real dance of when and how to really bring that softness to the surface

and I know some people listening might be like yeah but if you can just live like that all the time
